Amanda Bruen - Associate

Amanda grew up in Southern California, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Southern California Annenberg School of Journalism before moving to Oregon in 2010 to pursue her Juris Doctorate degree from Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law.  During law school, Amanda clerked with the Oregon Justice Resource Center and was Vice President of the Crime Victims’ Rights Alliance.  Amanda also participated in the Mock Trial Program, earning the award of Best Oral Advocate in 2013. 

After graduating law school in 2014, Amanda worked with Multnomah County’s Victim Assistance Program, as well as Legal Aid Services of Oregon’s Domestic Violence Project, representing domestic violence victims in contested restraining and protective order hearings. 

In May 2017, Amanda received the Multnomah Bar Association’s Michael E. Haglund Award for her work representing domestic violence victims. In 2017, Amanda began practicing Social Security Disability law, participating in over 2,000 disability hearings by December 2022.  Amanda joined the firm in January 2023 and is excited to immerse herself in the practice of Oregon Workers’ Compensation law.
