Thomas P. Busch -

Tom graduated cum laude from the University of Portland in 1983 and received his law degree from Northwestern Law School of Lewis and Clark College in 1987. He became a member of the Oregon State Bar in 1988. Tom started his career representing claimants and plaintiffs in workers' compensation claims and civil litigation. Tom joined our firm in 1995 and expanded his practice of representing insurers, employers and self-insured employers in workers' compensation, and employment law related matters. Daniel J. Sato -

Dan graduated from the University of Oregon in 1987. He received his law degree from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1994. He became a member of the Oregon State Bar the same year and the Idaho State Bar in 1995. Dan joined the firm in August of 2003. Jonathan A. Rose -

Jon graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree from the Eli Broad College of Business in 1998. Following graduation he relocated to Chicago where he was a Director for ARAMARK, a professional services company. He received his law degree from Indiana University in 2007 and became a member of the Oregon State Bar that same year. Jon joined our firm in February 2011, after practicing in the areas of Oregon workers’ compensation, OSHA, ADA, civil and employment litigation defense since 2007. He was admitted to the Washington State Bar in February 2012. Jon has since continued his focus on assisting insurers, employer, and self-insured employers in matters involving Oregon workers’ compensation, OSHA, ADA, civil and employment litigation issues. Cara Defilippis -
Associate

Cara graduated from University of San Francisco School of Law, where she focused on International advocacy. Throughout law school she worked on various human rights projects, including authoring policy aimed at securing refugees’ right to work. Upon moving back to Portland, Cara assisted the public defender’s office in providing civil legal help to clients facing a restraining order, custody issues, eviction, license suspension, or in need of record expungement. Kevin Domanico -

Kevin graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree from the Ernie Pyle School of Journalism in 2008. While in law school, Kevin was an articles editor for the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality and an editor for the Intellectual Property Theory Electronic Journal. He received his law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2014, he was then admitted into the Oregon State Bar and Washington State Bar. Lindsay E. Landstrom -
Associate

Lindsay graduated from Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon in 2009 after election to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He returned to Oregon for law school. Lindsay began his career as a summer law clerk for the United States District Court, District of Oregon, followed by a judicial clerkship for the Circuit Court of Oregon, Lane County. Lindsay joined the firm in October 2015 after practicing in the areas of civil litigation, Oregon and Washington workers’ compensation, OSHA, and employment law. Lindsay’s practice continues to focus on the representation of employers and insurers in matters involving Oregon and Washington workers’ compensation, and civil and employment litigation. Alexander F. Sargent

Alex graduated in 2011 from the American College of Greece in Athens, Greece, where he spent the majority of his early life. After working as an English teacher and translator for several years, Alex moved to the United States and his birthplace of Portland, where he attended The Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College. While in law school, Alex received an Outstanding Advocacy award for his work with low income clients at the Lewis & Clark Legal Clinic, in addition to spending a summer studying law abroad in Beijing, China. He received his law degree in 2015 and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar later that year. Heather Fossity
Associate

Heather graduated from New York University and Lewis & Clark Law School, cum laude. Prior to law school, Heather worked as a paralegal in law firms in New York City, which prompted her decision to attend law school. At Lewis & Clark, Heather prioritized practical experience to compliment her legal studies. Heather spent over a year as a corporate law clerk at Bonneville Power Administration, where she primarily focused on employment law. Heather also worked for private law firms, for a professional services firm, and as a research assistant to Professor Amy Bushsaw. Heather spent two semesters during law school at the Small Business Legal Clinic and continues to represent local businesses as a pro bono attorney with the clinic. Heather brings a diverse background and a strong work ethic to her workers’ compensation practice and is glad to be a part of a great team at MacColl Busch Sato. Jason McClain – Associate

Jason graduated summa cum laude from Portland State University in 2010. After spending a brief period in San Diego, California, Jason returned to the Portland area where he attended Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College. he received his law degree in 2015 and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar later that year. As a native Oregonian and avid golfer, he enjoys all the outdoor activity Oregon has to offer. Jason joined the firm in June, 2016, and has focused his practice on the representation of employers and insurers in matters involving Oregon workers’ compensation, civil litigation, and employment law.
